Obituary of Ronald L. Peterson

Peterson, Ronald L. The tin man has walked into the sunset. Ron passed away March 27, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents Clifford Peterson and Eileen Drew. Survived by wife of 47 years, Lee: daughters, Sonja Kim (Jim) Dalbey and Heidi (Rob) Anderson; sons, Randy (Jeanne) Bergerson and Jon (Merri) Bergerson; grandchildren, Daniel (Jenn) Bergerson, Kirsten (Brett) Spark, Kayla (Betsy) Bergerson, Ari (Vanessa) Feblowitz, Taylor Bergerson, Sage Anderson, Kylie Anderson and Michael Bergerson; sister, Leslee (Bob) Quiring; and brother David (Karin) Peterson. Ron was born on March 2, 1942 in Rockford, Ill. Ron was given a second life on November 7, 1988 when he received heart transplant #174 at the University of Minnesota. This miracle of transplant gave us over 28 more years with our husband, dad, grandpa and friend. Ron spent hours supporting transplant recipients and their families with humor, time and love. If you are not already an organ donor, please consider becoming one. It is one of the kindest things you can do for someone else. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
