Muriel (Jensen) Heisterkamp, 87, of Edina, MN passed away in her home on April 5th after a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer. Gathering of family and friends at 1pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the York Cooperative, 7500 York Ave S., Edina MN. Memorial Service at 1:30pm. Please wear bright colors. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucile Jensen, and her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Heisterkamp. Survived by children, Kim Thorstad, Mark (Vicki) Heister-kamp, and Margaret (Gary Richard) Heisterkamp, granddaughter Shelby Thorstad, sister Marguerite (David) Carlsen, and a host of family and friends. Muriel graduated from the Minneapolis School of Art, and received her BA in Humanities with honors from the University of Minnesota. She was a retiree of Control Data Corporation. A lifelong lover of music, she sang with the Bach Society, the Lake Wales Chorale in Florida, and most recently, the Bloomington Chorale.
