Obituary of Steven Tickle
Tickle, Steven of Eden Prairie, left us unexpectedly on April 7th in a heart-breaking accident on his beloved Bob Lake. He was 67. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Tickle. He is survived by his wife Susan Tickle; children Liza Hill (Brian), Abby Johnson (Jeremy), Dan Terry (Laura), Scott Terry (Paola); grandchildren Hazel, Jada, Collins, Ben, Oliver, Ale; sister Susan Lund; and buddy Millie. Steven was born in Edina in 1949, and from a young age was a keen explorer and lover of the outdoors. From the boundary waters and lakes of northern Minnesota, to the jungles of South America and the mountains and ocean of Kauai, Steven was happiest enjoying (and teaching) the outdoors with friends and family. Family was always at the center of Steven's life, and his absolute love for his twin daughters, wife, grandchildren and extended family could be felt by all who knew him. Steven was a carpenter by trade, working and living with his wife Susan between Minnesota and Kauai. Over the years many benefited from Steven's carpentry talent, time and incredible generosity as he was never one to turn down a project. His kind and loving spirit will forever live on in all who had the pleasure of knowing him from the north shores of Duluth and Bob Lake to the beaches of Kauai. A memorial service and reception will be held on Friday, April 21st at 11am in the Synder Auditorium at the Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska MN.
