Obituary of J. Bradley Ostrander

Brad was born December 14, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN. He was the youngest of four boys born to Virgil and Erna Ostrander. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1962. Four years later, he was drafted into the Army as a medic serving in Nuremberg, Germany. Apart from the 2 years he spent in Germany, he lived in Minneapolis or the surrounding metro area for his whole life. He was always very active in his Church and was a very faithful servant of God. He especially enjoyed the music of the church. Brad had a beautiful tenor voice and sang many solos. He enjoyed singing in choruses including: Viking Male Chorus, Nordkap Male Chorus and Eagan Men's Chorus. Most Recently, he was a member of the Golden Tones of Coon Rapids. Brad retired early from Wells Fargo, but the job he enjoyed the most was as a delivery driver for The Red Cross. He enjoyed delivering blood to different hospitals across Minnesota. He retired from The Red Cross in 2009. Brad's greatest joy throughout his life was his family. He and his wife, Phyllis, were married for 35 years and he has a stepson, Andrew and daughter, Crystal. He took great pride in his grandchildren (Andrea, Evan, Chloe, Odin, Willow and great-granddaughter Eloise) in his later life, and spent as much time enjoying his grandkids as he could. Brad was a true gentleman who has touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Celebration of Life for Brad Ostrander to be held on April 29, 2017 at 11am at Advent Lutheran Church in Anoka. Advent Lutheran Church 540 East River Rd Anoka, MN 55303
