Obituary of Chrystal Dee Ann Roberts

Age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Preceded in death by parents Gladys & Randall Rowe; Sister; and Daughter, Brenda. Survived by Husband of 60 years Duane; Sons, Tim (Barb) & Scott (Leigh); Grandchildren Tim (Jenn), Brad and Justine; Great-Granddaughter Makenna. She was an active member of DAR, her Delta Zeta sorority, and Rainbow Garden Club. DeeAnn was an avid gardener; past president of Federated Garden Clubs of Minn. She was also a judge at the MN State Fair in the Horticulture Bldg for both Flowers & Vegetables. One year she won the sweepstakes in Vegetables. She enjoyed camping & accompanied her husband on hunting trips in Wyoming and fishing trips to Alaska & Wyoming. She and her husband went on numerous birding tours to South and Central America - especially Costa Rica. DeeAnn enjoyed skiing and was a member of the Tuesday Wipeouts and skied at Afton every Tuesday until her stroke in December 2000. She was a kind and compassionate person and will be remembered for lifting others through phone calls, notes and prayers. She was also a deacon at First Presbyterian Church in South St. Paul. Her humor was priceless. A celebration of her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of South St Paul (535 20th Ave. No., South St. Paul) 651.451.6223 on Friday, April 28th at 11:00a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to World Wildlife Fund or the Endowment Fund at First Presbyterian Church.
