Obituary of Ronald D Schnoor

Ronald Dean Schnoor aged 73 passed away on April 16th 2017. Born 2/19/1944 in Mankato, MN to Melvin and Edna Schnoor and raised in Wells, MN with his siblings Garold, Joan and Doug. Ron joined the USMC and served his country 1963 to 1967. Ron was proud to be a Marine. Ron worked as a mechanic while living in Washington D.C. where he met and later wed Clara Kay Bowden, 1969. From this union they had 2 sons. Mathew Thayne born 1970 and Justin Kennedy born 1973. Ron was the proud owner of Brooklyn Service Center in Brooklyn Center for 20 years. He was a member of the MN service association serving as president at one time. Ron was then a insurance agent until his passing. Ron enjoyed fishing with his many good friends, he was a avid Gopher Basketball fan, and proud Grandpa to Kaia, Amelia, Myles, and A.J. Ron is survived by his children Matt (Amanda) Schnoor of Marshall, MN Justin (Amanda) Schnoor of Savage MN his grandchildren Kaia, Amelia, and Myles. His siblings Joan (Trey) Labatt of Blaine, MN, brother Doug (Norma) Schnoor of Wayzata, MN, brother Delmar Schnoor of Albert Lea, MN as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, grandson A.J. and brother Garold. There will be a private ceremony held at Fort Snelling. There will be a memorial service on Monday, 4/24/17 from 3pm – 6pm at Brooklyn Park Community Center -5600 85th Ave N. Brooklyn Park, MN 55443 for family and friends. Ron has gone fishing and until we can join him, he will live in our memories. He will be missed.
