Obituary of John S. Wagner
JOHN S. WAGNER, 92, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on July 23 in St. Paul.
Preceded in death by parents, Hans Wagner and Lillian (Reardon) Wagner, sister, Mary Agnes Devine and niece, Maureen Devine.
Survived by children Lisa Wagner, Scott Wagner (Holly), Sara Wagner (Peter Clements), Maria Wagner Reamer (David) and Amy Wagner (Charlie Witzke); grandchildren: Max and Rocky Wagner, Ruth Baumann(Zach), Caleb, Daniel, Theresa and Elizabeth Wagner, Charles and Catherine Clements, Tony and Nina Reamer, Leo and Lucia Witzke, and by nephew Peter Devine and nieces Elizabeth Parnagian and Theresa Banford.
John is a graduate of St. Thomas Academy and St. John’s University, and served in the US Army during WW II. He began his career in the 1950s at Honeywell and later became a business consultant. A lifelong Catholic, he was a devoted member of Serra Club of St. Paul and at one time served as its president.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 1 PM at Cerenity Marian Center, 200 Earl St., St Paul, with visitation beginning at 11:30. Luncheon to follow at Cerenity. Burial will be private; he will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery with his parents.
