Obituary of Joan Braun

Braun, Joan "Jo" (Strand) age 86 of St Therese Assisted Living, New Hope, MN, formerly of Bloomington, MN and Mesa, AZ. Passed away surrounded by family on April 24th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard (Dick) Braun. She is survived by her Sister, Geraldine (Jerry) Johnson, daughters Bonnie Braun (Becky Callahan), Susan (Mark) Strobel, sons Richard (Mary) Braun, Robert (Tammi) Braun, and James Braun; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a strong willed and loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother who was so proud of her family. Jo had a passion for singing as a member of church choirs, Southwood Mother Singers and other singing groups. She also took pleasure in painting and drawing. She was honored to be a lifetime member of the “Naughty Nine” girls group. Special thanks to Beverly Woodbury NP for her kind compassion and care. Memorial service will be held on Frriday, May 12, 2017 at 2PM at the Cremation Society, Edina Chapel, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN. Light meal and visitation following service.
