Obituary of Margaret Elaine

Hautman, Margaret Elaine (Murray) Elaine slipped away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25th after 94 years of laughter and smiles, artwork and adventures, and an unwavering positive outlook on whatever came her way. A lifelong painter, Elaine raised a family of artists. According to daughter Amy, "She was constantly alerting us to look at things. I remember her saying, 'Look at the beautiful color of that mud puddle!' It was beautiful indeed. Maybe more important than teaching us how to paint, she taught us how to see." Preceded in death by her husband Tuck, Elaine is survived by her seven children and their partners Pete and Mary, Mark and Lely, Joe and Milla, Amy and Rog, Bob and Dodie, Liz and Gary, Jim and Dorothy; and by her grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Tucker, and Jack. A memorial will be held in June. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to the Alzheimer's Association, Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter.
