Obituary of Jacquelyn Ann Balfe

Balfe, Jacquelyn Ann of S Mpls, left this life on her 85th birthday. Born in Mpls. On 4-26-32 to Earl and LaVonne (Endres) Miller. She spent her early days in Kilkenny, MN attending St. Canice Grade School, Montgomery High school, class of 1950, homecoming queen. Married Gordon Balfe June 26, 1952 in Kilkenny. Returned to Mpls from California with Gordon after he finished his time in the Marines, where she raised a family and was famous for her orange jello, chow mein, and porcupine meatballs. Preceded in death by parents and son-in-law, Jim Rohde. Survived by husband of 64 years, Gordon, children Mike (Nancy) Balfe, Sue (Joe) Bednarski, Paula Balfe-Rohde, Beth Balfe, grandchildren Kato Bednarski (Mike Anderson), Claire Bednarski, brother Dick (Sue) Miller. Funeral Service at St. Albert the Great Church, 3216 East 29th St., Mpls on Wed. 5-3-17, 10:30 AM Mass followed by luncheon. Private interment, Fort Snelling at a later date. Memorials to St. Albert the Great Church.
