Obituary of Shirley June Buechner

Shirley June Buechner February 14,1927-April 28, 2017 Born Born in Lyon County on February 1927 to Alice and Charles DeRider. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Betty, Carole and Charlotte, brothers Merlyn, Charles, Donald and James and special friend Ray Peterson. She is survived by sisters Bonnie Thofft, Joan Vanleberge, daughters Marjorie (Thomas) Butler, Corine (Paul Kindamo) Buechner, grandson Ryan (Alexandria) Butler, granddaughter Danielle (Troy Holm) Butler and her many friends and extended family. Shirley enjoyed being a member of the Unitarian Universalist Society of River Falls, reading, walking in Willow River State Park and bird watching. She was avid canoeist, bicyclist, and camper in her younger years, and an exceptional cook throughout her lifetime. She was an inspiration to those around her for her warmth, kindness, equanimity and generosity of spirit and a source of strength and courage to her family friends. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Special thanks to her nurses and nursing assistants at Christian Community Home and to Adoray Home Health and Hospice. Celebration of Life will be held on at Unitarian Universalist Society of River Falls, Wisconsin on May 20 at 3:00.
