Obituary of William Fleet Manning
William Fleet Manning, (Bill) passed away at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis on April 30th after a prolonged illness.
Bill was born in Aberdeen, SD on May 14, 1951 to Mary Alice Manning and William H Manning. He grew up and attended school in Aberdeen and earned a degree in Business Administration from Northern State University. Most of Bill’s career was spent with the Equitable Life Insurance Company. Upon retirement, Bill lived at Clear Lake in Northeastern SD, which enabled him to enjoy his great passion for the outdoors as well as his love of hunting and fishing. Bill treasured his many friends in the area, in addition to his friendships from his years in Aberdeen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marjorie.
He is survived by his daughters, Rachel Hart (Ron) of Keller, TX and Katie Manning of Sioux Falls; sisters – Cory Manning Olson (Todd) of Apple Valley, MN; Vicki Lust (Jim) of Aberdeen, Jayne Roby (Tim) Madison WI, and brother David Manning (Leanne) of Eden Prairie, MN.
Bill’s friends are invited to share memories and celebrate Bill’s life at a gathering in Lake City, SD on May 18 from 4-6:30 pm.
