Obituary of Michael John Stabs

Michael John Stabs, Sr., age 72, lifelong resident of Duluth unexpectedly went to heaven Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was born November 2, 1944 in Duluth to Richard and Lorraine Stabs. Michael was a graduate of Duluth Central High School and received an Associate Degree from Vo-Tec. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Munich, Germany. He was a talented private contractor and could build or repair anything. Michael loved animals especially his birds and was an avid collector and thrifter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his son, Michael (Craig Botts) Stabs, II; brothers, Bruce, John, Daniel (Pat) and Steve all of Duluth; sister, Barbara Mickelson of Duluth; many other relatives and friends. Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday, May 13th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. 218-624-5200.
