Obituary of Michael Gerald Terhaar

Michael Gerald Terhaar, 62, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 with his family by his side. Michael was born on February 24, 1955 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Alphonse and Evelyn (Baker) Terhaar. Michael spent the majority of his working career in maintenance at the facility now known as Bayshore. Later on he retired from Mount Royal Manor. Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren "his seven rays of sunshine". He will be remembered for his humor and hardworking nature. He is preceded in death by his soulmate Ann Norman; his parents and brothers, Ronnie (Carol) and Keith Terhaar. Michael is survived by his daughter Angela (Jason) Heaslip; grandchildren, Leora, Nathaniel, Andrew, Eliese, Brielle, Neriah and Asher; siblings, David Terhaar, Sherry (Ray) Gerards, Ken (Irma) Terhaar, Tim (Carol) Terhaar, Danelle (Larry) Schlangen and Judy (Joel) Determan as well as many extended family members and friends. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the St. Luke's Oncology Department, Dr. Ann Silva and St. Luke's Hospice and home care. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-4 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
