Obituary of Jon Wayne Krause

Jon Wayne Krause, 58, lifelong resident of Duluth passed away peacefully, with family at his side, Saturday, May 6, 2017 while at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital. He was born July 25, 1958 in Duluth to Bernard and Patricia Krause. Jon graduated from Two Harbors High School and attended Vo-Tec. On August 5, 1988 he married Betsy Peterson. Jon worked at several automotive parts stores in the Duluth and Superior area. He was devoted to his work and Jon especially cherished the memories of rebuilding cars with his father and brothers. Jon was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lunka and two brothers, Joseph and Lawrence. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Betsy; children, Rebecca (Jen) Krause of Superior, Carey (George) Kasapidis of Duluth and Jay Lunka of Grass Valley, CA; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his parents, Bernard and Patricia Krause; two brothers, Mark and Randy (Lezli) all of Duluth.
