Obituary of Warren Luverne Ofsthun

Ofsthun, Warren L. Born in Cyrus, MN and passed away peacefully on 5/7/17 at the MN Veterans Home. Preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by wife of 69 years, Gloria, daughter Beverly, sons Russell, Jeffrey and Douglas, grandsons Christopher (Danielle) and Aaron (Jamie) and great granddaughter Ivy. WWII Army vet; served in India and China. He was a valued and loyal employee of Gambles-Skogmo for 42 years. He then spent 20 years as a cart driver at MSP International - he loved those tips! He was an avid fan of the MN Twins, Vikings and Gophers. He enjoyed the outdoors - especially northern Minnesota - family camping trips, day or long weekend trips with his wife and family. He liked country music and ABBA! Reruns of the Carol Burnett Show and Hogan's Heroes made him laugh. Thanks to the Vet's Home staff for caring for Warren since he became a resident on 12/7/15. No memorial service. Memorials preferred to MN Veterans Home, favorite animal rescue organization or donor's choice.
