Obituary of Bruce A Highland

Bruce A Highland, Jr., 66, of Two Harbors passed May 10, 2017 at his peaceful lake home surrounded by family after a 10 month fight with pancreatic cancer. Born in August 1950, he lived most of his childhood and adult life in the Clover Valley area. Bruce was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Marine Corps. He was a graduate of the University of MN Duluth and spent his career with the MN Department of Natural Resources, Trails and Waterways Division, retiring in 2008. Bruce will be remembered for his sense of humor, adventurous spirit, love of history and travel. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barb, his sisters Roberta Highland (Robert Archibald) and Sandra Voltz, nephew Brad Voltz (Christy), niece Kristina Loining, great nephews and nieces Ivan and Ilie Voltz and Zachary and Lydia Loining, special cousins and in-laws, many dear friends and his RV-ing community. A private family celebration of life will be held this summer.
