Obituary of Glenna F. Collins

Glenna F. (Witte) Collins, 97, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born on January 1, 1920 in Edmore, ND, the youngest of 14 children. Raised in Duluth, she married Leonard Witte in 1936. They had four sons. After moving to Tomah, WI in the 1960's, she married Clarence Collins. She returned to Duluth in the late 1980's where she remained the rest of her life. She is survived by sons Larry Witte, Jerry (Donna) Witte, Ralph (Kerrie) Witte, and David (Brende) Witte, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 2 pm followed by a memorial service at 3 pm on Friday May 19, 2017 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN. Reverend David Eaton will preside. The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Haven and Essentia Hospice for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Animal Allies.
