Obituary of Thomas Henry Falk

Thomas Henry Falk, of Carlton, Minnesota, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 in St. Luke’s hospice surrounded by family following a short illness. He was 69. Tom was born in Duluth, MN on April 10, 1948 to Togie and Edna (Johnson) Falk. He was a graduate of Denfeld High School. Tom worked as a letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service in Duluth for 35 years and was a long time union steward. His family is thankful and proud of his over 10 years spent in recovery, taking it one day at a time. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Lee, and his twin grandchildren, David and Marita Falk. He is survived by his brother Charles “Chuck” Falk of Las Vegas, NV, Emily Bray of Duluth, MN, children, Amanda (John) Skaret of Mound, MN, Matthew (Begonia) Falk of North Branch, MN, Kathryn (Roy) Kallberg of Hermantown, MN, Robert Hauser of Sun Prairie, WI and Kerrie (Robert) Jenko of Duluth, MN, grandchildren Anna, Jack, Adam and Julia Skaret, Heather (Chris) Miletich, Peter (Crystal) Kalligher, James and Nicole Strzelecki, Jake, Wesley, Leo, Claire and Maxwell Kallberg and Alex and Riley Jenko along with 10 great grandchildren, and much loved nieces, nephews and cousins. “Grandpa Tom” was known for his great sense of humor, love for his family, fishing, birds and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed. Gathering of family and friends will be at 9 am until the 10am memorial service on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota at 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth MN.
