Obituary of Bich Son Nguyen

age 50 of St. Paul passed away on July 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his birth parents, Mike Men Vann Nguyen and Oahn Tu Thi Vann Nguyen; his adopted mother, Cindy Valtierra who passed when she was 62. He is survived by his wife, Dorine “DJ” Nguyen; grandma, Ruth; adopted family – father Tom (Dorothy) Valtierra; brothers and sisters, Daniel, Jacob (Maria), TJ (Chelsea), Tina, Katie and Michelle; birth family, Thu-Suong Vo (Kim Vo) and other brothers and sisters; stepchildren, Chelsea, Michael, Lisa (Steve) and Amy (Troy); grandchildren, Austin, Dominic, Vincent, Stevie; many uncles and aunts and our precious cat, Mickey. Shun and his birth family came to St. Paul as refugees from Vietnam when he was seven years old. Shun met Tom and Cindy Valtierra at Saint Christopher church and after much bonding with Tom they invited him into the family where he was much loved by his many extended siblings, nephews and nieces. Shun was a man of family and faith, his past time was spent with his grandchildren and getting together for family events. He earned his G.E.D to become a hardworking provider working many years at Andersen Corporation in Bayport MN. Shun will be greatly missed by his family and friends and forever in our hearts.
