Obituary of Janet L. Soderberg

Janet L. Soderberg, age 75, of Canyon, formerly of Hermantown passed away peacefully at home Friday, May 19, 2017, from complications of C.O.P.D. Her loving husband was at her side. Janet was born September 13, 1941 in Duluth to Roland and Audrey Carlson and attended Denfeld High School. In her early years Janet attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician. In her later years she worked at Glass Block in the mall. On October 17, 1959 Janet married her caring, wonderful husband of 58 years, Daryl Soderberg. She enjoyed many years wintering in Florida, traveling with family, camping, gardening, making "fatigman" and her girls weekends. Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Lee and her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Daryl; son, Lane (Ingrid) of Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Sebastian Lee, Zachary Lee, Gabe Lee, Hayden Soderberg and Tuula Soderberg; sisters, Carol Kuchenbecker and Mardy (Jim) Rodman all of Duluth; son-in-law, Mike Lee of Duluth; and many helpful and loved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. David Arvold, Dr. Jeray Johnson and all the nurses of St. Luke's Home Hospice, especially, Jennifer and Health Aide, Andrea for their wonderful care of Janet. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
