Obituary of Penny H.R. White

Penny H.R. White, 67, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in St. Luke's Hospice. Penny was born in Duluth, Minnesota on January 17, 1950 to Charles and Ina (Laakso) McKerrihan. She graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1968 and worked at Lion's Drug and Newman's Pharmacy for a number of years. Penny was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed coaching her kids in softball and soccer. She also enjoyed working in her garden and making crafts with Reilly. Penny also was an avid sports fan who particularly enjoyed hockey. She was preceded in death by her son Dan; her parents and sister Charlene. Penny is survived by her husband Ed of 47 years, son E.J.; grand-daughters, Reilly and Emily; 3 sisters, Nancy (Leroy), Sharon (Jim) and Gladys and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Luke's 6th Floor ICU and 2 West Hospice. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 am until the 10 am memorial service on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
