Obituary of Patti Anna Radig

Patti Anna Radig, 59, left her Earthly home on July 27, 2018. She is free from the pain and disease that ravaged her body, she is free from the loneliness and grief she has endured since September 8, 2003, when her husband Guy Radig also left this world. She will be remembered for her spunk, humor, Vikings Super Bowl optimism, beautiful smile, work ethic, being a loyal friend and a Mother, who loved her two Sons and Grandchildren unconditionally, her eldest son, Paul, his son, Parker who formally made her a grandmother, and Alivia who will forever hold the special title of Patti's one and only granddaughter. Her youngest son, Nicholas, his sons Ryott and Kole, who's energy she wanted to bottle and use herself and Baby Issac, Nicholas's first born who she is not leaving behind and instead joined him in Heaven, where she can hold and love him eternally. During her 43 years of employment at Park Point Manor/Bayshore she made many friends, two became lifelong, Gina and Becky. They were a safe harbor during many of the storms in Patti's life. Patti shared her life with others by giving and receiving love, support and humor in endless ways, creating memories for many and we ask friends and family to continue her memory by sharing stories, special moments and memories with each other but most importantly with her Grandchildren so that Patti will be remembered in their lives and they will know all the beautiful facets she was known for and why so many loved her through the good and not so good years of her short life. Patti has always been surrounded by her family, here on Earth and now in Heaven. Those in Heaven are her parents, Herb and Betty Amic, her feisty sister, Laurie Amic, her grandson Baby Issac, and her only true love and forever husband, Guy Radig. Those she temporarily leaves behind are her sons, Paul Radig and Nicholas (Lori) Radig; her grandchildren, Parker, Alivia, Ryott and Kole; her brothers, who were there for her whenever needed, Robert Rainey, Scott and Herb Amic. Then there is Carol Dixon, her sister, whose devotion, care, love and gentleness were evident from the moment she opened her home to care for Patti and up to Patti's last breath, and a special niece, Carmen Rainey Dougherty who in Patti's final weeks was there to provide loving care and comfort to both Patti and Carol. There are so many more she loved, nieces, nephews, many close cousins, special extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the St. Luke's Hospice staff that came to Carol's home to make Patti as comfortable as possible and the support given to the caretakers. Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Wednesday, August 8th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
