Obituary of Ruth Johanna Kuka

Ruth Johanna Kuka, age 78, longtime resident of Duluth peacefully went to be with her Lord Friday, June 2, 2017, with her loving daughters at her side. She was born January 28, 1939 in Avon, MN to Wilbur and Mercedes Rodenwald. Ruth attended Morgan Park High School and worked at Lake Haven Manor (now North Shore Estates) for many years. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Kuka; her parents; a sister, Mary Shaw; and her significant other, Bob MacIntyre. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Cisotto of Duluth and Debra (Brian) Cisotto-Bandy of Cloquet; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Rodenwald and Kenneth (Georgia) Rodenwald all of Duluth; her sister, Sandra (Ron) Nystrom of Cambridge, MN; she will be sadly missed by her ex-husband, Ronald Cisotto; many other relatives and friends. Gathering of family and friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Saturday, June 10th in First Memorial Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. 218-624-5200.
