Obituary of Gregory Harold Brevig

Brevig, Gregory Harold Age 68, of Elk River, passed away June 2, 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Survived by his son, Michael; mother, Phyllis; brother, Jerry (Lynne); sisters, Mary (John C.) Brevig and Judy (Tom) Haus; nephews, Erik, Jimmy, Max; nieces, Amber, Isabelle; many extended family plus many friends including best friend, Mike Arazi. Greg served in the U.S. Navy, most memorably on a nuclear submarine. He spent 40 years in the nuclear power industry for companies such as NSP, GE, most recently, Xcel Energy in Monticello, MN until his retirement in Nov. 2014. His brilliant mind and almost perfect recall of obscure detail was legendary. His interests included magic and kaleidoscopes. He was always generous, a very loyal and thoughtful friend, a particularly kind person and a man you could truly count on anytime. Greg was a true gentleman. He will be deeply missed.
