Obituary of Allen Jacob Kniep

Allen Jacob Kniep, age 59 was born January 13th, 1959 in Duluth, MN. He passed away Saturday July 28th, 2018 at Saint Mary's Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN due to an autoimmune disease. Allen built a successful garage door business in 1982 named AJK Door Services, Inc. which he worked until his last days. He loved taking his Harley motorcycle out for rides and long trips, watching sports as a long time Minnesota Vikings fan, spending time with friends, and especially the company of his only son. Allen will be forever remembered by his son Allen Kniep Jr. and Daughter-in-law Jennifer; brothers, Dale Kniep, Gary Kniep, Randy Kniep, and Leroy Kniep; sister, Darla Kniep; parents, Gene and Alice Kniep; dog, Sadie Kniep; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 18th, 3:00 pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
