David Jones

Obituary of David Alan Jones

Jones, David Alan, age 51, of Brooklyn Park, passed away on June 5th, 2017. Dave left this world draped in the love of his friends, who are also his family... Carol Klein, Cathy Gore, Brook Heidecker, Robert Judnitch and many others. Dave fought his cancer battle long and hard, but he would not want to be remembered for the way he died, but rather for the way he lived. During his 51 years, he left an indelible mark on the lives of all he came into contact with. The stories of fishing trips, bumper skiing shenanigans, parties at the lake and his long love affair with cars and Pepsi will never be forgotten. He was a person who loved history and gave freely of himself to those in need, especially children. Dave was born and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where he attended Papillion-LaVista High School. Dave served his country and was very proud of his time in the United States Army. He moved to Minnesota in 1999. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Jones and very dear friend, Danny Gore. Certainly both were there to greet him as he ventured to the other side. Dave is survived by his birth mother, Rae Bryant of Kansas City, MO - his adopted mother, Lavina Jones of Omaha, Nebraska; his children, Derek, Amanda, and Shane; many relatives and good friends.
