Obituary of Bonita JenAnn Carlson Dhaemers

Bonita "Bonnie" Dhaemers of Superior, WI was born February 17, 1950 and died on July 29, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth from complications after a long illness. She was born in Duluth, MN, graduated from Denfeld High School in 1968 and lived in the Twin Ports all her life. Bonnie met and married Greg Dhaemers in 1997, which started a happy new chapter in her life, and the two would go dancing, fishing, camping and traveling. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She gave her all to the people in her life no matter who they were, generously offering her home, her heart and her support to everyone. She truly loved being a grandma, dedicated her life to the elderly at Nopeming Nursing Home as a CNA in the 1980's and went back to school to earn her nursing degree in 1993, working in that field until 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Ione Carlson; her daughter, Tammy Towns; and her brothers, Fred and Bruce Carlson. She is survived by her husband, Greg of Superior; her daughter, Jacki (Jerry) McClure of St.Francis, MN; step-sons Jason and Chris Dhaemers of Superior; grandchildren, Camron, Cara, Nicholas, Lexi, Lacey and Gavin; and great-grandchildren, Lillianna and Jaryn. Visitation will be from 2pm until the 3pm memorial service Friday, Aug. 10th in the Duluth Cremation Society Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth.
