Obituary of Patricia A. Gorski
Gorski, Patricia A. (nee Boyce) Age 84, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2017 with her family by her side. Patricia was born June 3, 1933, in Minneapolis, to Francis and Lillian Boyce. She was an avid fastpitch softball player, clay pigeon shooter and gardener. She was a founding member of the local Shetland Sheepdog AKC chapter and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. In her later years, she was a loving and doting grandmother and was very active in her grandchildren's lives. She let us make sugar cookies and not worry about the mess, she was our all-time pitcher in kickball, and she taught us to save "damnit" for when we really meant it. She let us get all kinds of ridiculous pets, she had the best greenhouse in the world, she let us play with fire, and she let us play in rainstorms and dig in mud piles. And she loved us more than we will ever know. "It's a far more amusing arrangement for nature to continue the process of life through different individuals then it is always with the same individual, because as each new individual approaches life is renewed. And one remembers how fascinating the most ordinary everyday things are to a child, because they see them all as marvelous" Alan Watts. Whenever I would leave my grandparents house, I would yell out the window, "big fat Gramma," and my Gramma would yell back, "you scrawny little runt!" Well, for one last time, see you later my big fat Gramma. I love you so much. Your scrawny little runt Frankie. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert, sisters Dorothy, Marion, and identical twin sister Barbara Jean. Survived by husband of 63 years, Richard; children Robert, Jeanne, John and Kathleen (Bill) Tuttle; grandchildren Sarah, Rob, Jamie, Jessica, Amanda, Adam, Hannah, Ashley, Nick and Frankie; great-grandchildren Charlotte, Olivia, Kayla, Georgia, Charlie, Sophie and Walter; sister Helen (Maurice) Duffy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. And a very special thank you to Fairview Hospice, especially Julia and Peggy. Funeral service Monday, June 26th 10am to Noon at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S., Edina. Memorials preferred to the family. Cremation Society of Minnesota, 952-924-4100. Interment at Ft. Snelling at a future date.
