Obituary of Clarence Ralph Rainey

Clarence “Porkey” Ralph Rainey 82 passed away unexpectedly on June 18, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Clarence was born on March 3, 1935 in Duluth, MN to John and Lois Rainey. Porkey was a lifelong resident of Duluth. He loved playing cribbage, dominos, slot machines, and scratch off tickets. He was well known in the community for buying, restoring, and reselling cars. He loved his large family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. He had a sharp wit; his sense of humor was contagious and he always had a story to tell. There was no one like him, and he'll be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, daughter Corinna “Rainey” Fosle, and great grandson Elijah Evans. Clarence is survived by his children: Clarence Jr., Curtis (Terri), Corey (Amanda), Derek (Suzan); Kari Nusbaum, Christina. Grandchildren: Darlene (Matt), Johnathan (Leah) Fosle, Amber Davis, Natasha Wyland, Jessica (Michael) Evans, Emma (Tim), Bryce, Simon, Royce, Cassandra, Michelle, Sarah; 20 great-grandchildren and many other extended family members. Due to unforeseen circumstances, some children and grandchildren may not be included. Please accept our sincerest apologies. Services: Visitation 2:00 PM on Friday June 23, 2017 until the 3:00 PM memorial service at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN. A celebration of life will follow at the All American Club, 1931 W Michigan St, Duluth, MN.
