Obituary of Ralph E. Pasquarette

Ralph E. Pasquarette, age 85, of Jordan, MN died peacefully on 28 June 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mae (Stasel) Pasquarette; his daughter, Carol Jean Ellwein; his son, Rocco Eugene Pasquarette; his brothers, Sylvester Pasquarette and Roy Pasquarette; and his sister, Marie Hrisak. Ralph is survived by his sons, Michael and wife Kathy Pasquarette of Chesapeake, VA, and Christopher Pasquarette of Columbia Heights, MN; his seven grandchildren; his brother, Gale Pasquarette; and his friend & companion of 23 years, Faye Liebbrand. Born August 3, 1931 in Clarion, PA to Roy and Alda (Sherman) Pasqua-rette, Ralph was the fourth of five children. After graduating high school in 1949, he joined the United States Air Force and trained as a mobile radar operator/technician. While in the Air Force, he met his future wife, Barbara Mae Stasel of Minneapolis, MN, whom he wed in September of 1955. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1954, he enrolled in the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where he graduated in 1959 in the top 10% of his class & received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. In the 1960's, Ralph worked as an industrial designer at Sperry Rand, Franklin Appliances, Naegele Corp and Peco-McClintock Corp. Finally, he joined Honeywell Inc., where he spent the majority of his career in the Residential Controls Division with several patents credited to his name. Ralph retired from Honeywell in 1999, and enjoyed his retirement years working on his farm, breeding and training horses, and supporting the United Methodist Church in Jordan. Ralph's memorial will be at Jordan United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 5:00 PM which will be preceded by visitation at 4:00 PM. A light supper will follow the service. The family requests donations to charities in Ralph's name in lieu of flowers.
