Obituary of Diane Elizabeth Reuss

Diane Elizabeth Reuss (Mize), Born December 6, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN, passed away on June 29, 2017, at the age of 66, from pancreatic cancer. Diane had 22 years of Service as a Federal Employee of the United States Postal Service from 01/18/1986 until 10/31/2008. She started her career carrying mail by foot in St. Paul, MN and retired as Post Master of the Marble, MN Post Office. Diane loved to garden, she was an absolute natural! A true green thumb of the flower world, even in zone three. Everyone that saw the wonders of her work from well laid flower beds to building elaborate waterfalls were truly amazed. Although the call came much too soon for all of us, she received an offer you really can’t refuse. Fortunately, it comes with some great perks; a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time, pain-free joints with full range of motion and a great view to keep tabs on all of us. Music, possibly polka, laughter and love are guaranteed. She left detailed instructions for her family, friends and loved ones to celebrate her life. Diane is survived by her sisters and brothers, Carol, Stephen, Thomas, Pat, Sue, and Mike; her three children, Ann LaPointe (Bruce) Bashor, Kevin (Veronica), and Kari (Brian) Jobe; seven grandchildren, Travis, Danielle, Jacqueline, Alexa, Ayden, Carson and Chase; two great-grandchildren, Brydan and Collin; and her companion, Greg Shevich, A Celebration of Life Open House and Memorial Service will be held at Blackhawk Park at 1629 Murphy Pkwy, Eagan, MN 55122 on Friday, July 21st starting at 2 pm, with a short memorial service at 4 pm, followed by more merriment and dinner.
