Obituary of Leon James Gable

GABLE, Leon James, age 97, of New Oxford, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 4, 2017 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Retired 34 year employee of Eastern Stainless Steel Corp. WWII U. S. Navy Veteran. Leon loved walking three miles a day, bowling, and had a deep appreciation for marching band music. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elinor (Wilburn); son, Reginald Gable; sisters, Emma “Jane”, Nancy, Dorothy; brothers, Elton, Nelson, William, Harold. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Diane Giron (Luis); Mary Benesh (David); grandchildren, Luis Giron (Cheryl), Joshua Benesh (Polly), Jennifer LaPlante (Ryan), and Jonathan Benesh; great grandchildren, Bailey, Miguel, Zachary, Bella, Ameika, Jackson, and Edison; siblings, Larry Gable, Fred Gable (Betty), Betty Brothers; many relatives and good friends.
