Obituary of James Terrance Burns

James Terrance Burns, age 85, of St. Louis Park, passed away on July 11, 2017. Jim went to West High School, served in the Air Force, and was involved in the Printing Industry for many years both in MN and AZ. He spent his retirement years as a greeter at the St. Louis Park Costco, a job he loved. In fact CJ called him "Mr. Costco". Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Jill, children Julie, Elizabeth, Scott (Patty), Tracey Larson (Dave), 8 grandchildren and hairy daughter Ruby Dee, preceded in death by daughter Robin and granddaughter Anna. Jim's family would like to thank all the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the VA hospital for the wonderful care he received. There will be a Gathering for Jim on Friday July 21, 2017 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at St. George's Episcopal Church 5224 Minnetonka Boulevard, St. Louis Park, MN 55216. A Private Family Service and Burial will be held on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in care of Jill Burns for future disbursement to the various charities that Jim loved.
