Obituary of Claudia M. Pirkola

Claudia M. Pirkola, 78, of Duluth, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Claudia was born in Duluth on Feb. 9, 1939 to Louis and Margaret Sterling. She attended Central High School in Duluth and retired from Auxiliary Services at UMD. Claudia is survived by her children, Debra (Terry) Fleming, Brett (Patti), Sondra Pirkola Kobus, Bradley and Barry (Cathy); grandchildren, Jason (Maren) Fleming, Sarah Fleming, Josh and Joe Pirkola; great-granddaughter, Sydney Fleming; brother, Richard (Barb) Sterling; and other extended family and friends. Visitation: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. Memorial Service, Friday, July 21, 2017 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth
