Obituary of Donald D. Thielman

Donald D. Thielman, 62, of Superior, passed away on Thursday, July 20th at his home on Amnicon Lake. Donald was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on March 18, 1955 to Walter and Frances (Richter) Thielman. Donald worked for several area businesses including the City of Superior. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed photography as well as hunting and fishing with his brothers and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Charlotte Willis, Judy Wuori and Darline Peterson. Donald is survived by his wife Karen (Closson); his daughters, Jessica McCaffrey and Monica (Jonathan) Pedraza; grandchildren, Megan Ramsdell and Noe and Joaquin Pedraza; great-grandchild Abel Kirschbaum; siblings, Geraldine Oas; Beverly (Raymond) Boggess, Leon (Jodi) Thielman and Frank Thielman as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family extends a special thank you to the St. Luke's Hospice staff for all of their care and support. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 pm until the 3 pm memorial service on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
