Obituary of John Carl Hanneman
Hanneman, John Carl 56, of Prior Lake, died peacefully on August 2, after a short but graceful battle with pancreatic cancer. John grew up in Minneapolis and attended Annunciation, Washburn, Southwest, the U of M and Hennepin Technical College. His Grandpa Carl taught John to fish as a young boy, and he never lost his love of fishing and outdoor beauty. John made his home in a beautiful spot where he was always connected to Michelle, his kids and nature. He was the funniest guy we knew and always entertained us. John gently wore his joy for people, food, and the smallest details. He was proud of his work as a Senior Drafting Specialist at Olympus. John is survived by Michelle Boeck, the love of his life, and their close, loving family: son Carl, stepdaughter Jessica Hein (Josh), granddaughters Skye and Ava. John also leaves his son Christopher Hentges (Michelle, Benjamin, Derek, Gabriella and Braxton); mother Elaine; brothers and sisters, Diane, Caroline Balch (Tony DeCalvo), Tom (Nancy), Jane Olson (Charlie), Mary Cochrane (Mick), Jim (Margaret Spriggs) and Nancy Sullivan (Mike); and many nieces, nephews and devoted friends (especially Paul and Matt Hultman, Jeff Cox and Ilissa Morrow). John gave us so much kindness, warmth and happiness; and so many belly laughs. He was a gift. At John's request, arrangements were private.
