Obituary of Gene Raymond Archambeau

Gene Raymond Archambeau, 80, of Hermantown passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017. Gene was born in Duluth on Oct. 20, 1936 to Raymond and Ruth. After graduating from Hermantown High School in 1954, Gene went to work for U.S. Steel. He married Bertha Fransk on June 3, 1968. After retiring from U.S. Steel, Gene worked as a bus driver for the Hermantown School District, where he retired in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bertha; son, Mike; and brother, Ken (Audrey). Gene is survived by his daughter, Terri (Rick) Wagner; step-children, James (Jungmi) Dahlquist and Jayme Christine; grandchildren, Melissa (Russ), Christina (Alex), and Jessica; step-grandchildren, Robert, and Erika (Billy); five great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kestan, Brittan, Zoe, and Asher; brother, LeRoy; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends. Visitation: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Memorial Service, Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
