Obituary of Patricia Lynn Ascheman

Patricia Lynn Ascheman, 63, Minnetonka, passed away on December 14, 2022 at home.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South in Edina, MN.

Patti was born on May 14, 1959 in Bemidji, MN to William and Mary Fellows. She attended Blackduck High where she graduated in 1977. Following graduation, she obtained her associate degree in accounting at the Northwest Technical College in Bemidji before moving to the Twin Cities. She ultimately became the receptionist at an engineering firm in Minnetonka where she would recognize everyone’s voice and treated all with professionalism and care. It’s there where she met Jim Ascheman, her friend, her best friend, who later became her husband in 2005.

Patti had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed help. She was always interested in others’ lives, even when she was unable to experience life outside of her own home. Patti experienced many years of health challenges, but her Christian faith remained her anchor. She strengthened the faith of many around her, rarely showing others the suffering that she endured.

She is survived by her husband, Jim and siblings, Barbara (John) Unger, Ronald (Peggy) Fellows, Elizabeth (Jerome) Jung, Michael (Connie) Fellows, and Jacqueline (Scott) Magoon, and many nieces and nephews.

Patti is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary and a sister, Marylou Fellows.
