Obituary of Mildred I. Fontaine

Mildred I. Fontaine Mildred Irene Fontaine of Proctor MN passed-away August 8 2017 in her sleep. Mildred was born to John and Beulah Johnson in Auburn NE on May 6 1927. In 1939 the family moved to Proctor and Mildred graduated from Proctor High School. Mildred was joined in marriage to Leonard Fontaine on June 1 1946 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Proctor. Mildred worked as a switch board operator, seamstress for Johnson's Furniture, for many years as a cashier at Proctor Piggly Wiggly, and volunteered at the Proctor Food Shelf. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother John, sons Francis Gary and Michael, and husband Leonard. She is survived by her children John (Romae) of Solon Springs Wi, Thomas (Debra) of Proctor, Susan (Florian) Dunaisky of Rush City Mn, Judy Fontaine of Duluth, Patricia (Rick) Nagle of Duluth, Marie Fontaine of Solon Springs, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, and brother Robert (Dagney) Johnson of Aurora Mn. No funeral will be held but a Memorial mass will be said at 8:30AM August 25 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Proctor Mn. Arrangements by Cremation Society of MN- First Memorial Chapels.
