Francis Joseph “Joe” McCann passed away December 11, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1929 to Irish immigrant Isabel (Dowd) McCann. A lifelong resident of St. Paul, Joe joined the Army during high school in 1946, eventually serving in Korea. Following his military service, he was employed at 3M, where he worked for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and siblings Robert McCann, Maureen Murphy, Kathleen Hoye, and Eleanor Peterson. He is survived by his sister Eileen Warren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be December 28, 2022 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul at 10 a.m., immediately followed by a luncheon at Patrick McGovern’s Pub at 11:30 a.m., then followed by a military honors ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
