Obituary of Carol Ann Cardinal

Cardinal, Carol Ann Born May 5, 1944 at St. Vincent Hospital, Crookston, MN to Ernest and Anna Cardinal. Graduating from High School she came down to St. Paul / Minneapolis to work. She worked at St Paul Farm Credit, Bituminous Insurance Company, DLM Company, and the University of Minnesota where she retired. She liked to travel with one of her first trips to California with her sister Sharon. With other trips to Canada, North Carolina and to the Grand Canyon to ride the mules to the bottom, Mexico and Paris and a number of other ventures. Carol had a zest for life. Her nieces and nephew always felt special. She made time for them whether water gun fights or ball games. She always made time to engage and get to know them. The consistent message she demonstrated was that there was always time to spend with family, especially the children in the family. She is survived by her sisters, Marie Chopyk, Donna (Orvis) Mossestad; brother, Robert (Anita) Cardinal; brother-in-law, Byron Rosten; 7 nieces & nephews, Debra (Stacy) Buggle, Dale (Taya) Mossestad, Brad Mossestad. Aaron (Peni) Rosten, Catherine Johnson, Tracy (Jeff) Haack, Andrew (Samantha) Cardinal; 12 great-nieces and nephews, Sadie, Scout Buggle, Bodhi, Elory, Rowan Mossestad, Brady, Graham Rosten, Jennifer, Ethan Johnson, Matthew, Emily, Henry Haack. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon, Rosten; brother-in-law, John Chopyk. Carol passed away on August 8, 2018 at Mount Olivet Home at the age of 74. Carol chose to be cremated and requested no memorial service. Her spirit and smile will forever be in the hearts of all who knew her. Any memorials can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or Mount Olivet Home.
