Obituary of Donald Richard Cashin

Donald Richard Cashin Donald R. Cashin, 83, lifelong resident of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Ecumen Lakeshore with his family by his side. Donald was born in Duluth on February 19, 1934 to Fabian and Julia (Mencel) Cashin. Donald retired from St. Louis County as a heavy equipment operator. He greatly enjoyed fishing as well as hunting at the hunting shack near International Falls. Donald also had a knack for gardening. He spent many hours working in his greenhouses and tending to his flowers and plants. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta; His parents; brother Roger and sisters, Carol, Shirley and Rosemary. Donald is survived by his sons, Mike, Steve and Joe (Pam); daughter Carol (Jeff) Hammerstrom; brother Jim; 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Patrick as well as many extended family members and friends.
