Obituary of Margaret Mary Iallonardo House

Marge House passed away on September 1st 2017 at the age of 97 in Essentia Health, Duluth, Minnesota where she lived her entire life. Born in Duluth January 6th 1920 to parents Saverio (Sam) and Elizabeth Iallonardo. She was the 4th of 5 children; brothers James and Peter and sisters Carmella Stovern and Elma Bruley. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Circle until it closed in 2010. She graduated from Duluth Central High School Class of 1939. Marge married William (Bill) House in 1942 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage until Bill's passing in 2008. She worked at Marshall Wells until it closed, Service Printers and Central Supply at St. Mary's Hospital for 13 years where she retired. Marge and Bill volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years, winning awards for their dedication to the project. Marge loved watching the Twins and was a member of the Duluth Bocce League. She was a member of the Italian American Ladies Auxillary. She lived at St. Ann's for 8 years until her passing, often pictured in their newspaper ad. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband William House. Marge is survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and two sister-in-laws; Geraldine House, St. Paul and Irene Bartsias, Superior, WI. Marge had no children of her own, she became a 2nd mother to so many in the family. She will always be remembered as Auntie Marge while she gave us the love of a Mother. She will forever be remembered for her hard work and dedication to her Faith and Family, it has been a lesson well learned by those she touched. She was cremated by Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in celebration of Marge's life September 30th, visitation at 9 am, service at 10 am. Light refreshments will be shared following the service in the Church Social Hall where we will share stories and bring our lives full circle together. A graveside memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 2nd at 1 pm at the Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
