Obituary of Robert John Risberg

Robert John "Bob" Risberg Sr, 84, of Sturgeon Lake, previously Duluth, was called to heaven on Monday September 4th, 2017 surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Bob served in the army from 1955-1959. He retired from Gateway Foods in 1993. Bob loved to fish and hunt, and made many trout and salmon fishing trips with his son John and best friend Jim Christopherson. He also loved his boxer Jaycee. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marie; his brother, Ray and sister, Irene. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barb; sons, John (Denice) Risberg, Dave (Suzi Perry) Risberg and daughter Kathy (Brian Anderson) Eales; grandchildren, Kellie, Brianna, Nick, Kiefer, and Adilynn; sister, Janice (Gene) Samuelson. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the Augustana Nursing Home Memory Care Unit for their love, care and support given to Bob and his family.
