Obituary of Gerald Robert Holmquist

Gerald Robert Holmquist, 74, of Saginaw, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017. He was born July 28, 1943, in St. Paul, Minn., and graduated from Humboldt High School. He moved to Saginaw in 1976 where he raised his two children. He was an electrician with Kehne Electric for many, many years. Gerald was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. He is survived by his loving daughter, Judy Bakken of Young American, Minn.; son, Gerald Holmquist Jr. of Henry, S.D.; sister, Beverly Tonkin of St. Paul, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4893 Independence Road, Saginaw.
