Obituary of Leroy J. Anderson

Leroy J. Anderson, 80, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2017. He was born in Duluth on June 13, 1937 to Charles and Adeline Anderson. Leroy was a mechanical genius, if he couldn't fix it, you might as well throw it away. His hobbies included being a Ham radio operator (KCODMB) and he was a member of the Cowboy Fast Draw Association (Alias, Cosmic Kid). Leroy's family used to say, "We might not have it together, but together we have it all." He will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Daniel. Leroy is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughters, Marla Barber and Sherri (Rob) Irving; grandchildren, Lance, Kyle, Zoa, and Keanu; great-grandson, Bentley; brothers, Charles (Ila) Anderson and John Anderson; sisters, Elizabeth (Bob Jahar) Johnson and Linda (Tom) Pierce; and many loved nieces and nephews. Visitation: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Memorial Service, Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
