Douglas Pfeffer

Obituary of Douglas Harold Pfeffer

Douglas Harold Pfeffer Senior, 73, of White Bear Lake, went to be with our Lord on September 10, 2017. Doug was born to Frank and Alice (Crooks) Pfeffer on March 25, 1944 in Bertha, MN. Doug’s true passions in life were his family and his faith. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to try and teach the grandkids everything he could about the old days and how things were done, all while they were trying to teach him the new ways are much easier and quicker. One thing he taught them and they all agreed upon, was to eat your dessert first! You could call him “Jack of all trades” he was a tailor, dry cleaner, builder, landscaper, mechanic, gardener, cook, farmer and many other trades. He was truly at peace when he was in nature. He also loved, hunting and fishing. Doug was very proud of his involvement with St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. He looked forward to opening the church every Sunday morning, almost as much as he did the coffee and conversation after mass. Doug had many friends and fellow parishioners who will miss him dearly. He will always be in our hearts and on our minds. He is survived by his loving Wife Kim of 39 years. Sister Rita (Hans) Metzger, Henry (Kimi) Pfeffer and Gary (Ruth) Pfeffer. Children: Ana Bella Salvatore, Mary Lundquist, Cheryl (Ross) Bosteder, Bonnie Pfeffer, Douglas Pfeffer Jr., Patrick (Kayleigh) Pfeffer, Andrew Pfeffer, Mathew Pfeffer, Michael (Kayla Wallner) Pfeffer, Grandchildren: Zachary (Michelle) Pfeffer, Kyle (Dian) Louks, Kelsey (James) O’Sell, Shannon Lundquist, James Lundquist, Brittney King, Nicholas Bosteder, Francine Bosteder, Nathanial (Shelbi) Bosteder, Amanda Pfeffer, Christopher Pfeffer, Grace Pfeffer, Alex (Kelli) Pfeffer, Colin Pfeffer, Emily Pfeffer, Mason Radtke-Pfeffer, Evan Pfeffer, and Ryan Pfeffer.
