Obituary of John H

John H. Kanzler passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth. He was born March 12, 1926. John was a United States Navy WW II combat veteran and served with distinction from January 28, 1944 until June 6, 1946. His duty station was on the USS Colorado. His awards and decorations include the American Area Ribbon, Victory Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with 3 stars and the Philippines Liberation Ribbon with 2 stars. John is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jean, son Thomas and daughter Joan; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Bong Center in Superior on Tuesday, 21 August 2018 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
