Obituary of Robert Julius Anderson
Robert Julius Anderson, 91 of Duluth passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017.
Bob was drafted during high school to serve in Brussels Belgium in World War II. After the war he worked for DMIR railroad out of Proctor and also the Uranium Plant in New Mexico, which was later featured in the movie, "Silkwood."
Bob worked and retired from the Coca Cola bottling plant in Duluth. Bob was an excellent bowler and loved to golf, camp and fish. He enjoyed many sunny afternoons sunbathing on his deck. He rarely missed the annual Fish Boil in Port Wing Wisconsin and liked to visit Jack's Bar in Superior Wisconsin. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Violet; parents, Julius and Esther Anderson.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Rick) Bergman of Duluth, Sherry (Stanley) Johnson of Saginaw Minnesota, Dawn (Tom) Grove of Champlin Minnesota and Hope (Mike) Fails of Esko; by his grandchildren, Nick Bergman, Brooke (Todd) Soupenne, Amy Grove, Cassie Johnson, Guy Grove and Samantha Fails; by his great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Violet Soupene; three sisters, Virginia McDonald and LaDonna Zomerfelt of Duluth and Marlene Daniels of Shakopee; and by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. Memorial Service, Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
